Our film is finished!

For about 5 weeks we have been working on our competition film. To encourage people to walk to school. We used a mix of Pivot, Stop motion, live video footage and a school song...Mrs Cooper has entered the film and we hope they like it!

Lego minifigs animation

This week Mrs Cooper brought in a selection of Lego and some mini figures and without much preparation at all (sometimes this can be refreshingly creative) we launched into making some stop frame animations.  The boys quickly decided to go with a Star wars ship and made some stars and Earth stuck with blue tack to a piece of black sugar paper...they made a short but well animated clip of the ship landing on Earth! Impressive.

OK GO!

This week we were inspired by a music video called 'End Love' which we watched in ICT club.  We then made our own animated film..it was such fun, everyone got to suggest different ideas for movements. And we refected which looked best.  Their use of colour impressed us, so we broke into two groups, one keeping their blue sweatshirts on, the other with their yellow school polo shirts. We really enjoyed making the film and hope to put sound to it an share with you next week!

Its not technology its what you do with it!

This is amazing...shot on a Nokia imobile phone and using Stop motion Pro, the worlds smallest stop frame animation character . .. Dot (shes only 9mm high) was shot on CellScope (basically a microscope attached to a mobile phone, it was invented by Professer Daniel Fletcher and has helped diagnose fatal diseases in remote areas of third world countries).

"Flight 101, flight 102" - a special effects animation

Roshan, Rohan and Jamie made this disturbing film....its a clever use of our available software, as they used Stop motion Pro to make their cut out animation, (better quality and editing functionality) then imported it into Digital Blue software (they loved all the bombs and special effects you could add). So they have resulted in the best film they could make, using what we have in school in a creative way.
